Who We Are
The Donauschwaben are ethnic Germans that lived outside of Germany in the Slavic regions of Eastern Europe predominately along the Danube River. The purpose of the United Donauschwaben of Milwaukee is to keep the Donauschwaben heritage alive while promoting the language, foods and customs to the public at large.
Folks love our fish fry! Stop by and check it out. We feature a delicious and time-honored all-you-can-eat fish and chicken, as well as full and robust menu of family favorites. Traubenfest | October 13, 2018
$15/person. Open to the Public
Traubenfest celebrates the grape harvest for making into wine! This event involves grapes (and other goodies) hanging from the ceiling over the dance floor, just waiting to be stolen. But be careful... If the Polizei catch you, you'll have to pay the Judge a fine!
Come enjoy music from Austrian Express, as well as dance performances from our auxiliary groups.
Let Us Dance For You!
The United Donauschwaben of Milwaukee Kultur, Jugend and Kinder Dance Groups perform regularly at German Festivals, Oktoberfests, Retirement Homes, Schools and various private events throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. If you are interested in having any or all of our groups perform at your next event, please contact us for more information!
